Importance of Preschool Education
I am here addressing this article to the pregnant women, parents of young children as you need to ask yourself why you should care about preschool learning. “Importance of preschool education”, preschool is meant for learning and the development of the children. Preschools or Anganwadis help for the child’s all round development like Cognitive development (संानामक वकास), Fine motor (ठक मोटर वकास) and Gross motor development (सकल मोटर वकास), Social development (सामािजक वकास), Emotional development (भावनामक वकास), Language development (भाषाको वकास), & Arithmetic development (अंकग%णत वकास). It has to be remembered that preschool education is the foundation of the child's formal learning process. The skills and knowledge (not to mention aptitude and attitude) that your child develops in the preschool years will have a better impact on the child's success when formal schooling begins as well as life success. Today, we expect children to know more by the time they start kindergarten. While previous generations learned basics like color identification and the alphabet in school. Today's children are expected to possess these basic skills by the time they start kindergarten.
Another reason to care about the child's preschool education is that by actively promoting and encouraging child's preschool learning, we promote his/ her self esteem as well. Help the child to gain confidence by making learning fun and easy at this age and you will make your child an eager lifelong learner. Preschool education is important as it can give the child an edge in a competitive world and education climate. While children who do not receive the fundamentals during their preschool years will be taught the alphabet, counting, shapes and colors when they begin their formal education, they will be behind the children who already possess that knowledge and skill set. Do you want your child to be perform better of the class or lagging behind? Care about your young child's preschool education because preschool learning is the foundation for formal education, it can boost your child's self esteem, and it can give your child the edge they need for lifelong success.
What research says?
• It helps the child’s brain development.

• Preschool education helps improve their language, communication abilities, and exercise their creativity.
• Preschool education improves the socialization, emotional stability and good mental health.
• Children actively participate and perform better in school programmes.
• Children will have positive behaviors like, sharing, expressing their view in polite manner, understanding their and others emotions.
• The child will develop will power, empathetic, kindness and self discipline.
Concerning our self with our child's preschool learning does not mean you have to enroll your child in a formal preschool program. You can work with your child at home if you prefer. The important things are that you make sure is that the child is working towards learning and develop the skills they will need to prepare for kindergarten/ Anganwadis . When we work with our child, we should keep certain things in our mind as follows:
Social Development: The child is able to play actively with other child, able to speak with the stranger with courage and confidence through social development. The child is able to build their emotions on their own. Some of the social developments like sharing the snacks, sharing the toy, making friends are the few social development acts of the preschool children
Fine Motor and gross motor development: Motor development proceeds from gross to fine. The child attain gross motor skills (walking, running, jumping, balancing, throwing, catching, kicking, hopping (कूद), cycling, swimming) which leads to fine motor skills (tearing, drawing, sorting colour, cutting, painting, writing, etc.,)- Fine motor skills involve small muscles, particularly coordination of eyes, wrist, fingers and hands
Cognitive Development: Cognitive development is the development of those mental processes (मान(सक )*+या) or skills that enable an individual to get to know his environment. Cognitive means to know. It’s the process of learning and understanding. Some of the mental skills are observation, memory, classification, sequential thinking, reasoning and problem solving.
Language Development: Language helps the child in many ways, and it is the most significant feature of child’s learning. Language helps the child to translate her/his experiences into meaningful symbols that can be used for communicating. The child learns the language through imitation, model, feedback, praise, experiences, and opportunities. Language evolves – listening, speaking, reading readiness and writing readiness.
Arithmetic Development: Mathematical skill helps the child’s developmental process in understanding the basic shapes, numbers, measurement, size, pattern (e.g First we plug the drain, then we run the water, and finally we take the bath), reasoning, statistics & probability (e.g., First we plug the drain, then we run the water, and finally we take the bath.”) . To guide you, education experts have mapped a few basic Pre-K & kindergarten math skills to help you track your child’s development in different mathematical areas.
I kindly request the readers to follow up the above mentioned skills so they to take place appropriate to the age (3yr to 6yr). It may be your child or someone’s, passing the information makes a lot of difference, so that we can make a well built nation with our strong Education. Help the child to reach the goal
